Common setup questions

How are future payments collected?

Remaining balances are collected through Shopify draft order invoice links or merchant-managed payment actions inside the app.

Does the widget edit theme code?

The app uses a theme app extension and app embed workflow. Merchants enable the widget from the Shopify theme editor.

Can I require terms acceptance before the customer continues?

Yes. The storefront widget can show a terms section with a required acceptance checkbox and the accepted snapshot is stored with the plan.

Can I assign rules to specific products?

Yes. Rules can be assigned globally or scoped to collections, products, or variants depending on the active plan.

Payments, reminders, and branding

Does the app process card details?

No. FlexiPay Rules is designed around Shopify-native invoice and checkout flows rather than storing customer card details itself.

Can merchants send reminder emails?

Yes. Reminder workflows are supported on eligible plans and depend on email delivery configuration being set up correctly.

Can storefront branding be customized?

Yes. Free plans show FlexiPay branding. Paid branding controls unlock according to the merchant plan.

Can a merchant mark an installment as paid manually?

Yes. Merchants can update installment records from the plan workflow and keep plan totals in sync.

Plan and feature access

Are quick plans available on every plan?

Yes. Merchants can start from the preset quick plans on every FlexiPay Rules plan. Advanced custom scheduling limits depend on the active plan.

What changes between Starter, Growth, and Pro?

Starter and Growth support guided custom setup with a phase limit, while Pro removes that ceiling and unlocks the most advanced payment operations.

Does Free keep FlexiPay branding?

Yes. Free keeps FlexiPay branding on the storefront widget. Paid branding controls unlock on eligible paid plans.

Can I test invoices and portals before going live?

Yes. Merchants can create rules, plans, reminders, and portal flows in a development store before using the app on a production storefront.

Access and support

Do I need Shopify Online Store?

If you want the product-page widget and theme integration, then the merchant must use Shopify Online Store.

Does the app require Shopify POS?

No. The current app experience is designed for online store and Shopify admin workflows rather than POS extensions.

Where can I get support?

Merchants can use the in-app Support page to create tickets and receive replies from the developer inside the app.

Where can my team manage merchant tickets?

The team support desk is available through the developer ticket route protected by a team access key.
